I was tracking how much time I spent on SB and exactly how much money I made. The results were dismal.
In comparison, I spent 28 minutes on MTURK yesterday and completed a number of HITS. I made $4.75. That's 475 SwagBucks in 28 minutes, with no chance of getting rejected by a survey after answering 50 questions.
I know everyone says SB is passive. But it's not. The mobile apps require constant babysitting. You need to be in front of your computer actively managing your windows, videos, etc.
If your under 18 and cannot get a MTURK account, then SB is a good route for you.
But for everyone over 18 in the US, stop wasting your time for pennies. If you have 30 minutes per day, MTURK in the long run will give you a better return.
